This section of my site is dedicated to Helene Phelan.  Without her encouragement, probably none of what is contained in this section would exist.

FICTION:

Writing fiction is something I enjoy doing from time to time.  The stories themselves have ABSOLUTELY NO basis in fact, they are entirely fiction, and they probably lack in socially redeeming value.  Read a few, read them all, enjoy what you will and wonder at the rest.  Some of them I REALLY like, some of them not quite so much.  These stories are from a group of stories I refer to as MUSINGS.

I've come to believe that writing fiction can be a two way street.  The reaction of the reader to the ideas of the writer can provide interesting counterpoint with possible ideas for more stories.  Therefore, I've provided an Email tag at the end of each story for that purpose.  Comments are welcome, questions will be answered.

Above all, just enjoy them.  I did.  Please read the Warning!  before reading any of the stories.

Occasionally, I've been privileged to have a captive audience for my writing.  The following is a series of columns I wrote for the North Florida Cruising Club's newsletter, THE WINDSCOOP.  I submitted an article for each issue published the three years I was a flag officer with the club, culminating in the year I was Commodore.  Also included are some odd articles from one time or another.
